Summer flight proves fatal.

Hawera police have confirmed a micro light has crashed and both occupants have died as a result of their injuries.  The aircraft crashed off State Highway 3 between Normanby and Hawera south of the aerodrome.

“Limited details are available at this time as we are still waiting for more details,” Mr Climo said from the Central communications centre.

CAA Air Crash Investigators were making their way to the scene.
