The Auckland Gliding Club is holding its annual gliding competition from Saturday 9th Jan to Sunday 16th Jan 2010.

The format will be a bit different from the past, in that there will be only one class. This will a “Sports” class for all gliders – the same as the USA Sports Class.

This is an ideal opportunity for ab-initio competition pilots or for those wishing to brush up their skills before the Taupo Nationals.

This is a great opportunity for Club pilots to get in some concerted cross country flying & practise for the Taupo Nationals. The emphasis will be on realistic tasks, Gliding NZ Handicaps & A.A.T. to cater for all gliders in a Club Class format.

Entry fees: $50 ($70 if paid on or after 16th Dec 2009 OR $10 per competition day for itinerants)

Competition Director : Grahame Player
Task setter : Lindsey Stephens & panel
Weather : David Hirst

Camp sites & Caravan power points available, reasonable charges.
