Pilot lands plane with only one wing.

There are many videos on the internet that you can clearly see are ‘fakes’ but this video from AvWeb.com really made me sit up and think what a lucky guy 22 year old Dino Moline was.

The wing came detached from his aircraft during a routine in Argentina and it was because of his full-plane Ballistic Recovery Systems (BRS) parachute system, that he survived uninjured.

Catalina Flying Boat Returns

Wanaka: Four years, $350,000 and 10,000 volunteer hours later, New Zealand’s only airworthy Catalina Flying Boat has taken to the skies again in preparation for display at this Easter’s Warbirds Over Wanaka International Airshow.

Four Airforces

A record four air forces will attend next Easter’s Warbirds Over Wanaka International Airshow. The Royal New Zealand Airforce will be joined by aircraft and crews from the United States Airforce, Royal Australian Airforce and French Airforce.
