Catalina Flying Boat Returns

Wanaka: Four years, $350,000 and 10,000 volunteer hours later, New Zealand’s only airworthy Catalina Flying Boat has taken to the skies again in preparation for display at this Easter’s Warbirds Over Wanaka International Airshow.

Four Airforces

A record four air forces will attend next Easter’s Warbirds Over Wanaka International Airshow. The Royal New Zealand Airforce will be joined by aircraft and crews from the United States Airforce, Royal Australian Airforce and French Airforce.

Wanaka: A special aircraft has begun a 19,000 kilometre, 47-day voyage bound for the Warbirds Over Wanaka International Airshow at Easter.
