Two Christchurch airport projects have been named among finalists in the INNOVATE NZ Awards of Excellence 2010.

Christchurch Airport emergency services were put on alert this morning after a small passenger plane was struck by lightning.

To make way for the Regional Lounge, Hangar No. 2 has been carefully dismantled. Before it was deconstructed a party was held to farewell the hangar which was attended by over 150 people who had worked in the hangar from the 1940′s to recent years.
