If flying is your thing then you'll definitely find something here that will interest you.

The Air Force Museum is located at the Wigram airport about half hour from the central city by car.

When we arrived, the history gallery had been closed for refurbishment. The gallery was installed in 1987 having very few changes while it was open. The new gallery should be open to the public at the end of September 2008.

In the main hanger you can get close to aircraft like the North American P-51D Mustang along with choppers used by the air force.

If you have time you should defiantly take the tour out to the workshops. There you'll get a first hand look at their current projects and you will defiantly learn something new. The guides are very friendly and approachable.

The Air Force Museum rates four stars out of five on our cool places to go rating.
