Kapiti Coast Airport (NZPP) Open Day

To celebrate the commencement of Air Chathams operations from Paraparaumu Airport an Open Day is being held. Members, visitors and all pilots from far and wide are invited to fly in and either visit or put their aircraft on static display for viewing by the general public.

Aircraft for display are exempt from the landing and Airways fees but must be in the display area by 9:00am and won’t be permitted to depart before 3:30pm. If you wish to enter the display please personal message the club with your aircraft make, model and registration.

The airfield will be open for normal operations all day but please watch for the NOTAM. Air Chathams will have their aircraft on display and will be offering joy rides in their DC3. A Catalina is also expected to attend togther with a wide variety of other vintage and modern aircraft. Food stalls, coffee, etc will also be on-site.

It’s always fine on the Kapiti Coast and will be a fun day out.
