Wanganui Aero Club Open Day

Attention Kiwi Pilots and Aircraft Owners! 
We’re currently planning for our ‘Open Day’ on 19th January 2025 and are looking for aircraft to join us and go on static display!
This event is run as part of Whanganui’s Vintage Weekend on Wellington Anniversary Weekend.

Last year, we welcomed over 4,000 visitors and this next event promises to be just as exciting! The day is our clubs biggest yearly fundraiser, but primarily aims to promote General aviation to the community and give people the opportunity to get up close and personal with airplanes and the people who fly them.

We have a couple flying displays segments planned through the day featuring our local DeHavilland Venom, and others, yet to be confirmed. We’ve got a large static display area planned, already with a number of unique aircraft however we are on the lookout for more! If you own or fly any airplanes with a bit of character, history, rare, or unusual, a vintage gem, warbird, a standout homebuilt, or anything else you’d like to share — we’d love to have it on display.
