The best aerobatic pilots in New Zealand gather at the Wairarapa Aeroclub, Hood Aerodrome in Masterton for the annual NZAC National Aerobatic Championships. Battle commences in all categories (Primary, Recreational, Sports, Intermediate, Advanced, and Unlimited). Pilots will fly (depending on category) Known, Free, Free-Known, Unknown, Free-Unknown, and some may fly the 4-minute Freestyle sequences. Along with the category trophies, others competed for include North v South, Unknown, Champion of Champions, and of course, the Dipstick Award.
